Key features

Fully Articulated Active Cloak: The most iconic feature of the Deathscythe Hell is its menacing bat-like active cloak. This HGAC kit brings it to life with a multi-axis arm structure that allows each of the six cloak sections to be individually opened and closed, enabling a wide range of dynamic, high-action poses.

Redesigned and Modernized Engineering: This is a brand-new mold, not a simple re-release. It features modern High Grade engineering, which means improved articulation, excellent color separation, and a more accurate representation of its design from Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. This results in a stable, easy-to-build kit that looks great right out of the box.

Signature Weaponry Included: The kit comes equipped with the mobile suit's defining armaments. It includes the powerful Twin Beam Scythe, which has a clear green effect part to replicate its energy blade. It also provides the redesigned Buster Shield, which can be deployed to show a beam effect and mounted on the arm.

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a new kit or a re-release of the old one?

This is a brand new, modern kit. It is part of the High Grade After Colony (HGAC) line and is a complete redesign of the original, older kit. The new version features significantly improved articulation, better color separation, and a more accurate sculpt based on the Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz design.

How are the active cloak parts, and can they be posed well?

The signature active cloak is a major highlight of this kit. The individual wing sections are fully articulated, allowing you to display them in a wide range of positions—from a closed, intimidating state to a fully open, dynamic attack stance. The joints are solid, and the cloak holds its poses effectively without sagging.

What accessories are included with the kit?

The kit comes with the Gundam Deathscythe Hell's essential armaments. This includes the massive Beam Scythe, complete with a clear green effect part to represent the energy blade. It also includes the shield-like Buster Shield, which can be mounted on the arm.

Does this kit require painting to look good, or is the color separation good?

The color separation on this modern HGAC kit is excellent. The kit is molded in the proper colors (black, white, red, and yellow), so it looks great with a straight build right out of the box. While panel lining and a topcoat will enhance its appearance, painting is not necessary for a clean, accurate look.

What is the difference between this kit and the Master Grade (MG) version?

The main differences lie in scale, detail, and complexity. This is a 1/144 scale High Grade (HG) kit, which is smaller, simpler to build, and more affordable. The Master Grade (MG) is a 1/100 scale kit, offering greater size, more intricate inner frame detail, and a higher part count. The HG version is ideal for beginners or those who prefer a quicker, more budget-friendly build, while the MG is for experienced builders seeking a more detailed and complex project.
